Next, cut off the pineapple’s “crown.”

Slice the top of the pineapple off, including about an inch of the fruit below the leaves. Pick off any leaves that are dying, and remove any of the remaining fruit from the crown.

Then, plant the crown in a pot filled with soil.

If you live in a warm, tropical climate, you can plant your pineapple right in the ground, but if you don’t, then a prepared pot indoors will do just fine. Place the crown in the pot, with the leaves sticking up, and cover its base with soil.

That’s it! The only thing left to do is wait for it to grow.

If you live in a cooler climate, don’t worry, you can still have a great pineapple plant as long as it gets enough light from inside your home!
