A father living in a rural village in the Philippines noticed that each day, his nine-year-old son Ken would go on a long walk. Like most fathers, he became curious about what his son was doing. So one day, he decided to follow him.
But instead of finding his son causing mischief, he discovered something completely unexpected.
Ken had been sneaking food out of the house and going on walks every day to feed a group of stray puppies.
The pups were malnourished covered in mange.
They were skittish around people, but had warmed up to the little boy.
They were forming quite the bond.
The father was proud of his son for showing such kindness.
They’re hoping to be able to find healthcare for the dogs so they can treat the mange.
In the meantime, they’ve named them White Puppy, Brownie, and Blackie.
They believe that Blackie is the mom.
And like the momma dog, the father and son don’t plan to leave the pups anytime soon.
Ken and his father have since started a non-profit to take care of these pups and others like them. Now Ken can show his kindness to all the dogs in his village.
