Eric Vekeman was furious when his local council in Belgium denied him a permit to install a garage door.
Eric, now a retiree, wanted to convert his grocery store into a garage, but the council refused him in order to “protect the townscape”.
He was not taking “No” for an answer and came up with a pretty ingenious solution.
Although the garage ‘door’ is difficult to open and close, the entire process takes less than two minutes.
Eric is working on automating the whole process.
We have a feeling this rebel will make it happen very soon.
