They Are Snapping Photos Of This Bride, But Take A Closer Look At Her Wedding Dress…

Krneta is an architect and avid crocheter who decided to crochet her wedding dress from scratch. Yes, you read that correctly. Over the course of five months, Krneta crocheted her dress during the 50-minute commute to work each morning. Using a simple and classic white cotton, she put her time on the bus to good use. Just imagine how many people laid eyes on Krneta’s dress before she was finished with it.

“I crocheted my lace wedding dress on the bus during my work commute for about 5 months. The dress is a pattern I designed with a commonly used pineapple stitch.”

“The dress was practically free because I didn’t spend much money on it (under $30 for all of the materials including fabric for the lining) and I didn’t spend much extra time on it.”

When asked by Seattle Magazine what she plans on doing with the dress, she responded by saying, “The dress is something I would definitely keep around but not preserved in a box. Rather, I plan to wear it again with different colored linings underneath and pinned or bustled up in different ways (obviously not as a wedding dress).”

“I think the most important thing to remember if you’re going to have a wedding is that there is no right way or wrong way to do it. Your wedding should be about you, your partner, your family, and friends.”

“I would certainly pass the dress on to my future children if they wanted it.”
