Save Your Broken Flower Pots And Turn Them Into “Fairy Gardens”

There’s a community of DIY gardeners who’ve turned broken clay flowerpots into genuine works of art that I desperately want. Like really, really want. Dubbed “fairy gardening,” each individual flowerpot is like a miniature home, complete with all the decorations and accessories necessary for a lovely showing.

While some gardeners work with accidentally broken shards from a flowerpot, most of the unique and detailed creations come from carefully planned designs. The procedure for getting exact cuts include soaking a pot in water, then using a craft drill or file to weaken the part you want to break off. Switch to a hammer when you’re ready to fully break a piece off. Be sure to wear eye protection and a dust mask.

If you’re not ready to start creating your own fairy gardens, then check out these beauties below and admire their creative work.
