Skin tags are those irritating little flaps of skin that can sometimes form around your neck, armpits or any other area where skin rubs and/or creases from friction. They’re generally harmless and sometimes even fall off on their own but most people usually go have them lanced off with a laser at the doctor’s.
It turns out, however, that there’s an alternative that doesn’t require you to shell out your hard-earned cash on a visit to a doctor that lasts about 10 minutes. Not only is it really, really inexpensive in comparison, it’s also all-natural.
Dr. Doug Willen is the author of “Quantum Paleo,” a lifestyle book based on the popular Paleo Diet (wherein you only eat foods that would have been available to our hunter-gatherer ancestors, i.e. no processed grains or sugars). His all-natural solution to skin tags is to use some good quality apple cider vinegar and soak a cotton ball with it, then apply to the affected area 2-3 times a day. After a week or so the tag should start to change color and darken, and eventually fall off.
