Stuart and his brother, Robert, are always playing pranks with one another, and Stuart’s playful and lighthearted personality is exactly what made Vicky fall in love with him.
When Stuart and Vicky got engaged, the father-of-five knew he wanted to pull off the ultimate prank — on his wedding day.
Everyone including the bride-to-be had a feeling Stuart would do something sneaky on his wedding day, but no one had any clue when it would happen, or that Stuart would go to the lengths he did.
The vicar agreed to be in on the prank during the wedding ceremony, which took place at St. John the Baptist Church in the U.K. The ceremony was going smoothly until halfway through the service when Stuart fooled everyone into thinking he forgot the wedding rings. When the vicar said the service couldn’t go on without the rings, it was Stuart’s queue to bolt out of the church.
Guests watched in shock and horror as Stuart left Vicky and his best man, Robert, alone at the altar!
As soon as Stuart disappeared, a screen dropped down and revealed a pre-recorded video of the groom on his epic journey to retrieve the rings at home. Stuart’s efforts take him on a tractor ride, through a field of sheep, on a pogo stick, and more — only to realize he forgot his house keys at the front door.
The wedding guests went from worried to hysterically laugh. And no, Vicky was not mad… and yes, his brother, Robert, really fell for it.
