Mom Quits Hospital Job Of 32 Years — Right After Realizing She Won $758 Million Powerball

Is there a person out there who hasn’t dreamed of winning the lottery? I’m pretty sure it’s something that has crossed every single person’s mind at one point, whether they actually buy tickets or not.

Luckily, one woman doesn’t have to wish for those winning numbers any longer.

A mom from Massachusetts named Mavis Wanczyk has stepped forward as the $758 million Powerball lottery winner — mere hours after the numbers and location of the seller were announced.

The moment the widowed mom of two found out, she was in shock. But she quickly decided what her first step was going to be.

In the video below, posted on August 24, 2017, Mavis attends a press conference and explains:

“The first thing I want to do is I just want to sit back and relax. I had a pipe dream, and my pipe dream has finally come true. I wanted to retire in 12 years, and it came early.”

When a reporter asks the 53-year-old if she’ll be returning to her job of 32 years — inpatient care at Mercy Medical Center — Mavis smiles and replies, “I’ve called them and I told them I will not be coming back.”

So, what do you think about this incredible moment in Mavis’ life?
