Nikolay Marinov was born in Plovdiv on 08.04.2001. He studied at the National School of Music and Dance Dobrin Petkov in Plovdiv, in the piano class of Professor Svetlana Koseva. This young Bulgarian talent has won several awards: 1 st prize at the International Pianists Competition “Dr. Voyslav Vuchkovich “2009, Belgrade; 1st prize of the European Music Competition “Città di Moncalieri” 2009, Moncalieri, Italy; 1st prize, gold medal and title of laureate of the International Competition for Pianists “The Muse” 2009, Santorini, Greece; 1st prize, gold medal and title of laureate of the International Competition for Pianists “Flame”, 2010, Paris, France; 2nd prize 11th International Competition pianistes- Alexander Skryabin, 2011, Paris, France; 1st prize of the 6th International competition “Pera Piano Festivali” Istanbul; 1st prize of 9th international pianists contest “Marco Fortini” 2011 Bologna; Grand Prize at 12th International Competition for Young Pianists, 2012 Niche, Serbia; 1st prize at the 11 th international pianists contest “Nikolai Rubinstein”, 2012, Paris; 1st prize at the 7th International Competition for pianists ‘Mozart’, in 2012, Rome; Master class Chamber Music “Musica Mundi”, 2012 Brussels.
