Teen Who Used Brass Knuckles To Sucker Punch Boy Faces Huge Consequences

Ater a Conway, Arkansas teenager attacked a 12-year-old boy using brass knuckles; he is facing up to 20 years in prison.

Kane Millsaps, 16, attacked the younger boy on May 31, and it was all captured on camera. In the video, Millsaps uses brass knuckles on his left hand while attacking the boy in a park.

Before the attack, Millsaps is seen giving the bird with both his hands. He then “sucker punches” the 12-year-old in the face from behind and the boy falls to the ground.

Even after the boy falls, Millsaps continues to punch him in the face. Frank Shaw, Millsaps’ lawyer, calls the video disturbing. Millsaps will be tried as an adult and has been charged with first-degree battery. The maximum sentence is 20 years in prison. If Millsaps is even the 20-year sentence, he would be 36 years old when he gets out.

The injured boy’s injuries include a cut on his neck, bruised right eye, and broken teeth.

Millsaps’ mother, she said her son had mental problems and had previously spent about 18 months in a juvenile detention center for fighting.

Millsaps’ attorney has already filed a court motion to get a mental evaluation for his client on “reasonable suspicion” that Millsaps is not mentally fit to proceed with the criminal proceedings.

Shaw said it’s a heartbreaking situation and that the lack of funding led to one person becoming injured and may lead his client to incarceration.
