Make The Best Vanilla Buttercream Frosting Ever By Following These Easy Steps

Baking extraordinaire Gemma Stafford is here to show us how to make our own homemade version of buttercream frosting!

Ingredients :

1½ cups of butter (softened to room temperature)
3 ¼ cups confectioners’ sugar (sifted)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 to 3 tablespoons milk or cream and just a pinch of salt

Let the butter sit out at room temperature for roughly three hours, then pop it in your stand mixer for eight minutes on medium speed – this allows the butter to become perfectly “airy.”

When the butter is a nice light color and looks fluffy, you can mix in the confectioners’ sugar (one spoonful at a time), along with the vanilla extract and cream. Now you’ll have a tasty icing that everyone will ask for on their birthday cakes!
