Girl Waves To Cop Each Morning But When She Misses A Day, His Gut Tells Him To Go In Her House

Klynn Scales did not have a very happy childhood. She grew up in a home filled with drugs and violence. There were many days where she resorted to stealing food from the nearby 7-Eleven just to keep her two brothers fed.

At the age of 9, Klynn met a police officer who must’ve known things were tough. He would stop by her house every day, and Klynn would greet him with a smile and wave before running up to him.

“Through all the bad situations, I would just picture him saying that he was here for us and that if we ever needed him, he would be right there,” she told WDAF. “He would always protect us, and so those words would come to me during the worst times of my childhood.”

Though Klynn didn’t know the name of the kind cop, over time she felt he was the only person she could trust.

But one day, the officer noticed Klynn wasn’t in her usual spot. She wasn’t there to wave to him, and she didn’t come running to greet him. Something told him to walk inside her house.

The officer was stunned to open the front door and find the little girl sick — with no one there to take care of her. He rushed her to the hospital, where she was treated for malnutrition.

Klynn eventually lost contact with the officer and moved out of Kansas City for a better life.

Then, years later, Sgt. Jeff Colvin received an email about a little girl who used to live by the police station…
