The next time you decide to moan about the awful traffic on your way to work, spare a thought for the poor Chinese folk who are probably still on their way home after getting caught up in 50 lanes of traffic:
What’s even more incredible is that this latest traffic jam is only mild compared with “bad” ones. In 2010, a tailback on the 110 Expressway between Beijing and Inner Mongolia in 2010 lasted 12 days and stretched 60 miles. Motorists were stranded for five days and 400 police officers were brought in to maintain order.
