Recently, health officers shut the doors on a Kermit, West Virginia Pizza Hut after the restaurant’s district manager was caught on video surveillance peeing in the sink.
The manager could be seen taking two breaks to pee in the kitchen sink.
Pizza Hut released a statement, saying it was “embarrassed by the individual’s actions and has a zero tolerance for any standard operating violations.” The company said it employee involved was immediately terminated.
Pizza Hut stated the incident occurred after the close of business.
There was a sign on the door saying it was shut down due to the conditions inside that led to a serious public health hazard.
Mingo County Health Department investigator Brett Vance said this is something no one should ever have to deal with, and such matters are taken very seriously. Vance said the restaurant would remain closed until the place has been thoroughly cleaned.
